Meet my sous chef, Benny (short for “Eggs Benedict,” my favorite brunch dish). We got her from the ASPCA in 2011. She’s a Rhodesian Ridgeback mix who is constantly under my feet or silently begging for scraps while I’m cooking. She’s never met a piece of human food she doesn’t like (except for lemons), and she also doubles as a very efficient vacuum cleaner. I mean, look at that tongue!
